| What is uptrax? |
Uptrax provides a platform for musicians, producers, labels, and fans. Unknown newcomers have here the chance to publish their tracks and introduce them to a large audience. By voting titles into the charts, you have a direct influence on the music of the future and the trends of tomorrow. Your favorite tracks are available to download as MP3s. The producers among you have the chance to receive a recording contract or airplay on a "real" radio outlet. |

| How can I upload tracks (publish them on uptrax)? |
The membership area "My Uptrax" contains a link called "Upload Track" which leads you to all-important information about uploading. Please upload only .mp3 files in the best possible quality, because our tracks may possibly be played on the radio: mp3, stereo, bit rate 128 Kbit/s or better. |
| Do I waive the copyrights for the tracks, which I upload? |
You only grant us the rights necessary to present your tracks publically. For detailed information read our General Terms and Conditions. |
| How can I download? |
Just click on the info icon behind each track. On the info page, you will find additional possibilities besides download: vote, review tracks, report, or add a track to your personal playlist. By downloading tracks, you are not granted any rights to the titles. You may only download tracks for personal listening. |
| What are lo- and hi-play? |
In lo-play, you can listen to the track as preview. In hi-play, you can listen to it in a 128k version. |
| How do I vote? |
Please click on the right hand side of the title page on INFO. You may vote for all tracks once a week with the exception of your own. Cheating on votes i.e. through multiple memberships is traced and lead to cancellation of the membership. |
| Statistics |
You may look up the statistics for your individual tracks in the membership area "My uptrax". There is a statistic icon next to the title. If you click on it, an overview opens up, showing the number of downloads and chart-ranking covering the past ten weeks and the total number of downloads, which that particular track has accomplished. |
| Chart system |
The period to determine the charts compiled on a Tuesday is always exactly one week. All downloads and votes the track received during this week are calculated for points. After the chart assessment, the points for each track are reset to 0 and the assessment starts anew for the following week. The track is awarded one point per download and per vote. Reviews are not part of the chart assessment, but are means of constructive criticism, praise, improvement suggestions, etc. |
| Airplay |
A special feature of "uptrax" is the radio chart show on sunshine live. Every Sunday afternoon, the top titles of Electronica uptrax charts are introduced and thus broadcast in entire Germany and Europe (satellite). Which tracks this charts contain is up to you, the uptrax member. You decide the chart ranking by voting and downloading and thus the radio play. Radio Sunshine live is Germany's largest and best known radio outlet for electronic music. The uptrax show is broadcast every Sunday between the hours of 3 pm and 4 pm (MEZ).
Each week, the first 3 (theww) tracks of the Electronica charts go to the playlist for the Sunday's uptrax broadcast on Sunshine live. Additionally, "new entries" are added and the winners are moving to the rotation (see Rotation).

| Rotation |
Every week, the first five titles get to our airplay on Radio Sunshine live. In addition, they will participate in the "rotation" nomination. At the end of each quarter, we determine the winners of the "rotation". The winner is selected by the voices of uptrax members and a jury, which is composed of music professionals.
The top 5 (rotation winners) per quarter:
- Are replayed on Radio Sunshine.
- Move to the rotation of the uptrax broadcast on Sunshine live, in other words, they are not only played once in the upcoming quarter, but numerous times depending on their ranking.
- From the top 5, the Toptrax label can select one title, which is published on the Sunshine-live-Compilation (a very successful CD compilation).

| Multiple accounts |
Multiple uptrax accounts to push you in the charts are prohibited. If you notice a user, which violates these rules, then please report him or her to one of the board moderator. |
